THIS COUCH IS SO GREAT! The black velvet like material is super soft is nice and the shape is very unique. The couch is a firmer type of couch so if you do get it, just know it’s not those ultra plush it provides more support. The only downfall I will say about it is that the cushion does not come apart from the couch so everything is all one part that helps keep the stainless lines. The only other negative thing is there is a bit of what it looks like glue on the golden part that’s left a very weird residue mark in the manufacturing but other than that, I’d say I’m generally happy with the results. I would’ve definitely given this four stars if the golden accent wasn’t messed up on a berry noticeable point on the couch, but it’s not worth the effort of calling to get it traded back in.. Lisa. so i do really love this sofa and appearance-wise it is 5 stars for sure. it is very classy looking, i love the throw pillows that come with it and they are very full, the gold accents are beautiful, and it is supportive without being too stiff and it is very comfortable. only complaints are more logistical-first it said it requires assembly, which is not true it comes fully assembled which might be good for some people but i live on the fourth floor of an apartment. holding with no elevator so it definitely caused an issue, the delivery people could not fit the box inside the hallways. another thing is that it is extremely heavy, and the weight is not listed in the description. another note is that some of the gold accents look as though it is just held together by glue, it seems sturdy enough but just a thought. so overall i love it and i am glad i have it and it fits my style perfectly, however just be prepared for the delivery process.. This sofa is really comfortable and quite lovely. The color in person is a burnished gold background with champagne embroidered details. The small flowers inside the embellishments are gold and lavender. The frame is solid, and while the pictures make it look delicate, it is a sturdy piece. I expected a sofa fit for a French Princess, but was pleasantly surprised that it is more fitting for an Austrian Emperor. It's far more comfortable than it appears, and is excellent for napping..
