They are beautiful, substantial, have tons of storage, and feel very sturdy. The white finish with the darker wood top looks even better in person. Fair warning though assembly is a PROJECT. The first desk took us about 5 hours, and even knowing exactly what we were doing, the second still took about 4 hours. I would absolutely recommend having two people, plenty of space, and a whole lot of patience. That being said, the instruction manual was surprisingly clear and helpful. There are simply a LOT of pieces and steps involved. Once assembled, though Worth it. They look like much more expensive pieces of furniture and completely transformed our homeschool room. I especially love all of the drawers, cabinets, shelving, and built-in desktop outlets. If you’re willing to survive the assembly process, I highly recommend them. It does take quite a bit of time to put together but I wouldn’t say it was hard. The directions had a lot of detail and were simple to follow. I put it together mostly alone over two days (desk one day, hutch the next). My only complaint is the picture on Wayfair is misleading in color. It is not a true grey as I had hoped. We are turning our open-concept landing into a study/library area. It's a multi-purpose space for now while my daughter is living at home after college. Slowly we are remodeling, so for now we thought we'd add this French Country executive desk where she can study. This provides a beautiful, pickled wood look, with plenty of drawer space. The furniture is well-made, and VERY heavy. It comes in 4 large boxes that the FedEx driver left at our curb. Overall we love the piece! Putting it together was super smooth, until we got to the drawer slides. The holes that are pre-drilled didn't line up with the slides. Luckily my husband is an expert with power tools, so he was able to place the holes where they were needed. There is also a very visible white metal bar that I didn't see when I purchased the item. So we will likely cover this up with trim and paint it a similar color. This has made an otherwise non-functional area into a terrific spot for my daughter to study. It has more style with the sliding drawers, costs a lot less, but did not come with a separate file cabinet like the 1st, but do not need it as this one has 2 file drawers. Overall, I absolutely love this desk! It did arrive with a few minor issues that Wayfair rectified. This is a solid piece of furniture. I would definitely recommend paying for the delivery and setup. The two compartments on the top lift up to open but sadly they do not lock in place to remain open, which could be a little inconvenient but there is a slow close on it so it does not slam closed. **TIP** there is a piece that covers the top so you can possibly sit items up there that is probably some type of mdf board and it probably blends in with the packaging and mine was thrown out, so just be mindful and ask for that piece.
