I was doing it by myself and found it was easier to connect the pieces together with someone else as they are very heavy. As far as comfort, the couch could use some work in that department. It’s very stiff. We’ve only had it a few days so it might just need to be broken in. But as of right now it’s pretty hard to sit on. The lay down feature is very nice and great to watch movie and spread out. My husband is 5’10 and he’s too tall for it. I’m 5’5 and it’s just about the right height for me. When the portion is not out, it’s not super comfy to just sit and watch tv. I think it’s good for the price point and because it’s just the two of us. This would not work for a large family. The full bed is comfortable to sleep on. It’s soft and cushy. I slept on it for 5 nights straight and didn’t feel any back pain. The assembly instructions were easy to follow. One person can put it together, but it won’t be super easy with the parts that require you to carry or lift the parts to merge them together. The entire furniture comes in 3 separate boxes, all labeled. If you’re doing the assembly without professional help, you’ll have to first remove all the parts from the boxes before reading the assembly instructions in full. I got a bit confused with how the parts were organized until I realized some of the smaller parts were kept within the bigger parts to condense them together. The packaging was also superb. I didn’t have any damaged parts and could easily remove the parts from the delivery box.
