This is a very soft area rug! I got a pad for underneath it but you probably wouldn’t need one. The cats LOVE it. I actually have 3 of these. This one is in my closet. We just moved and you know how that is if you’ve never moved. So those were the cleanest corners I could find. The rug is very well-made. It is very thin and it has ripped on the bottom so it doesn’t fly too much. In my closet I did put a thick pad under it and the other room we use it.
