1. This tall 7-tier media shelf offers vertical efficiency, capable of storing hundreds of CDs, DVDs, or books while saving valuable floor space.
Thin metal with a simple assembly that leaves bracing sections on top and bottom just hanging over the frame (unfastened). It feels flimsy in the assembly stage, even when finished. HOWEVER, once you fill it with DVDs/Blu Ray discs, it is perfectly sturdy as long as you don't try to lift or move it.
Because it's steel, it won't scuff or scratch like manufactured wood (or even solid wood which is a lot more $); perfect for when you need to constantly slide the DVDs around to organize them. Slide away, the shelves won't scratch or scuff which is awesome.
For DVD/BR, not all the shelves are useable; you end up with one too small to hold anything but CDs/other items. Even then, it holds about 49 DVD/BRs per shelf. It's too deep to display CDs well; same with DVDs. It would have been perfect 3 or 4 inches shallower, but then it might have balance issues and easily tip over.
Assembly is a very simple process. A few screws and you're done, as even the shelf holders are just metal hook inserts.
All in all, I'm satisfied with the product. However, this is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced and I wanted to give it 2 or 3 stars for this reason. You can find the exact same cabinet for less than half the price elsewhere, and even then that is a bit overpriced for its materials and basic assembly, but at least more reasonable.. Loo. Irmo, SC.
