The feel is soft and drapy unlike my other linen which are bouncy. I expected that this item would include the certification attesting that it is 100 percent linen but it does not even have a logo. This duvet is made with soft, plush microfiber fill, a high quality polyester that's meant to mimic the softness of down. The shell is soft 300 thread count cotton.Microfiber doesn't have the same insulating properties as down, so microfiber duvets are heavier weight. A fair bit of fill is required to achieve the desired warmth. One benefit of a synthetic duvet is that it can be machine washed at home, given your machine is quite large and you wash/dry on a low heat setting. Natural down and feather are sensitive to moisture, but polyester is not!

I got this to insert into a duvet cover. It fits well and I really love the tabs on every corner (not just the bottom two) that help to secure it into the duvet cover. The weight is perfect. The duvet cover is very nice. The material is quite soft and I’m looking forward to using it in the new bedroom that is currently under construction.
