This is Leighton Hall’s most popular table. It is made-to-order in the Leighton Hall shop. It has the perfect combination of size, proportion, and eye appeal. The LH-7 is a Sheraton-style dining table with "D" shaped ends. It features a swirly-crotch mahogany field, black/white and exotic wood inlays, and satinwood and pau ferro borders with a three-beaded edge. A wonderful expanding table with transitional styling. The top expands using a patented mechanism dating back to 1835 by Johnstone, Jupe & Company. The top expands from 66" to 84" in diameter and rests over four saber legs that are joined at the center with brass mounts. Large dark espresso brown finished expanding dining table with three leaves opens to 12 feet and seats 14 people. This table is absolutely gorgeous and very sturdy. I managed to get both leaves in to extend the table without assistance, as well, though I haven't tried taking them back out yet. This is a made-to-order large mahogany dining table. This is one of our flagship tables and is known as the king demure dining table. It has a transitional design inspired by the original 18th Century regency style tables. It features a field of west African swirly-crotch mahogany and contrasting borders of select exotic veneers, and straight-grain mahogany separated by ebony and white maple inlay lines. The table edge is solid mahogany with a shaped variation of an ogee edge. The table's apron is bold and masculine with dental molding along its top outside edge. This table is very sturdy and heavy! It works great in our short term rental dining room. The finish had imperfections upon arrival and a new table top was sent to us, but it also had some imperfections in the veneer surface. It now has a "well loved" look and a bit of a patina so it actually works well for us. The first image shows the size with one additional insert, it comes with one other insert, so it can extend to quite a length. The other two images show the type of imperfections that are across most of the surface. The white bits and the cup ring are shown after a good cleaning with a damp cloth and they are not removable.
