This extra-long 102 inch brown metal rain chain adds rustic, distressed heron-and-cattail style to your outdoor gutter downspout, porch, or patio while guiding rainfall in decorative motion and sound. A unique alternative to a standard downspout extension, it doubles as garden decor and subtle bird-themed outdoor wall/vertical decor for a lake house or cottage setting. Overall size is 102 x 6 x 3 inches, giving you a tall vertical drop with a slim profile. The repeated bird-and-cup sections fit neatly near a corner post, eave, or downspout without crowding the space. Sections are removable, so you can customize the length to suit your installation. Made of metal with a distressed rustic brown finish; finish variations are normal and expected. It hangs from the included top hook (approx. with a 1.5 inch opening), and includes a bottom bell. Care is simple: wipe clean with a soft cloth as needed. Place it where rain runoff is easiest to catch-by a gutter outlet, near a rain barrel, or along a patio edge for soothing movement. Note: the bell sound is loud and high-pitched, the chain may arrive tangled, and thin metal birds may bend in shipping but can be bent back into shape. A fun housewarming or birthday gift for gardeners, bird lovers, and anyone decorating a porch, patio, or lake-house garden with rustic outdoor accents.

Enjoying the rain and sounds of falling water is made pleasant with this Rain Chain featuring Perched Birds. Whether using the whimsical chain as a downspout replacement or as a vertical water feature to adorn a She Shed or garden house, this rain chain is functional and lovely to view in action. Rain chains are used to direct roof run-off water from the gutters enabling the flow to be diverted from the building’s foundation. For centuries, rain chains have been used this way in Japan while also serving as a decorative but working accessory for rainwater collection. Gardeners will often install rain chains and position watertight urns or rain barrels below. Designed for easy hanging, this rain chain can be used without gutters by placing it at main run-off points to divert the down-falling water. Some people leave the rain chains up during harsh winters to enjoy what becomes an ice sculpture chain. The chain measures 6.5 feet and includes 7 vintage-looking perched bird adornments. With its dark bronze finish, this metal rain chain makes a delightful gift for a gardener or new homeowner. Bird enthusiasts who collect bird items will appreciate this outdoor present.
