Dovecotes are specially designed structures intended to house pigeons or doves. Throughout history, the possession of a dovecote has been a traditional symbol of status and power. In Medieval Europe, only nobles had the right to own dovecotes, but today, Home Bazaar's adaptation of an English dovecote can become the focal point of your garden. The fully functional six-sided birdhouse is divided into six separate compartments with a removable base for cleaning. A pine-shingled roof completes the design.

Gorgeous bird house. Have it on a fifteen foot post for purple martins. Took another reviewers advice and treated the mini shingles with weather preservatives. James. Powhatan, VA. Wed Jul 01 2020

House a host of purple Martin families with the S&K Purple Martin House. Sturdy plastic pieces snap together with plastic screws to form this two-story green, tan, and white house. This dwelling features slip-resistant floors, convenient landing, and take-off rails on each floor, and swing-up doors for easy cleaning. Each of the twelve rooms measures a comfortable 6" x 6" x 6" for the nesting Martin families, but if you'd like larger compartments and fewer families, you can easily adjust the inner compartments to 6" x 6" x 12" in order to create six nesting sites. Ventilated door panels provide maximum comfort, and the crescent-shaped starling-resistant entrances deter pest birds looking to usurp your rightful Martin tenants. For even more versatility, plug the crescent holes and punch out the round entry hole on each apartment. Overhangs, gutters, and rails also help protect martins and their eggs. Mount this home high on the S&K Telescoping Aluminum Pole or use the S&K Pole Adapter to mount it on an existing 1.25" diameter round pole (not included). The S&K Purple Martin House is a practical option for current Martin landlords or bird lovers new to the hobby. Assembly required. Made in the USA.

The fabulous Hotel California is now available as the third in our line of Purple Martin birdhouses. This ten-room, fully functional birdhouse is inspired by the main pavilion of the iconic Del Coronado Hotel. A San Diego landmark, the'' Del'' has welcomed presidents, royalty, and Hollywood celebrities for over 100 years. Home Bazaar's dramatic Victorian design with its signature red roof and peek-a-boo dormers is topped off with a cupola proudly flying an American flag. This house comes equipped with a mounting base with a sleeve for setting on top of a standard 4 x 4 base. In order to attract purple martins, the recommended location of this house should be a combination of open fields and water. The house should be 12 to 14 feet high. For display purposes only, Home Bazaar recommends the column pedestal (HB-2008P.)

This charming freestanding birdhouse is sure to draw your feathered friends – as well as compliments from friends and family members. The house is made from bronze and is painted white, with a gold-colored perch and trim over the door. The pagoda-style roof is an unfinished metal that has an aged patina, giving it a weathered, vintage look. We love the elongated decorative finial on the top that adds height and visual interest. The birdhouse offers beautiful, creative condominium homes for feathered friends. Skillfully crafted in an antique copper finish, each birdhouse features several openings and perches for multiple birds. The "Plumsteadville" - which is a brand new style - is similar to the "New Britain" but the homes are stouter and the shingle roof extends over the front.

Hanover PA. is considered by many to be the snack food capital of the USA. Now it is time to make it the Hanover House for Purple Martins Haven. When it comes to attracting Purple Martin’s, it is all about location, location, location. Purple Martins prefer housing that is placed in open areas with clear flyways. Choose the center of the largest open spot available, about 30-120 feet from human housing and at least 40-60 feet from trees. Made of reclaimed recycled barn wood, this house will last for years to come. White with a green roof. This house has 4 holes and a cleanout for annual spring cleanings enjoy watching the birds.

This large-format, 12 cavity Bird in Hand Series Lancaster Barn 25 in x 22 in x 25 in Purple Martin House comes directly from the Amish country and is made from reclaimed and recycled materials probably from an original barn in the area. In the eastern portion of the United States, Purple martins rarely nest in natural cavities instead they nest almost exclusively in man-made housing. No other bird is as dependent on man as the purple martin is for their nesting requirement. The oldest known life span for a purple martin in the wild is almost 14 years old.

Well made, love it!. Tawny. Trenton, MO. Wed May 20 2026

Taking inspiration from our bestselling condo birdhouse stakes. Our tall "colorado" birdhouse stake features a simple yet classic architecture and ample living space for birds of various species.

The birdhouse is incredibly beautiful and elegant, However it was slightly dented in several places and it was too complicated to return it as it is large. I am not using it as a "birdhouse" but as a decoration on my covered porch setting it in a planter and using seasonal item to accent it. I can see it from my kitchen window so I'll really enjoy it.. Cheryl Sue. Bedford, NY. Thu Sep 24 2026

Love, love this birdhouse and so do my feathered friends. I painted it pink with acrylic paint and then 2 heavy coats of marine polyurethane. The Eastern Bluebird cannot next in this home because the entrances are too small. I decided to place two Eastern Bluebird houses near this house because they kept trying to enter the Victorian to no avail.. D Cann. Mandeville, LA. Wed Jan 14 2026

Instantly improve your yard's appeal by installing the Newport Post from Paradise Birdhouses. The post can accommodate any of our four-sided, six-sided, and eight-sided birdhouses and feeders. It can also be used with other houses or feeders with the true 4” base collars. The Newport Post is a smooth white post constructed with heavy-duty PVC for long-lasting timeless charm. Features decorative trim and a 5-1/4” x 5-1/4” collard base. The post is 86” tall and you can install the post directly into the ground. If the post is too tall you can either dig a deeper hole or simply cut the bottom of the post. Will not rust or warp. Bird house and bird feeder not included. Ships in one box. Made in the USA.

The post is great quality and sturdy. The dimensions are a little off but works great.. Michael. Williamsburg, VA. Sat Apr 18 2026
