This is a really cute and unique bird feeder, and I’m excited to see how the birds take to it. We put peanut butter in the jar at the top and hung it outside, although we haven’t had a chance yet to see birds actually using it. The main reason I’m taking off one star is the assembly. The small plastic clips that connect the upper and lower sections of the metal cage were extremely difficult to get into place. They honestly seemed a little too small for the metal pieces they needed to snap around. My husband had already tried putting it together on his own and wasn’t able to get them attached, and when we worked on it together later, it still took us probably 20 minutes of pushing, adjusting, and fiddling with the clips before we finally got everything secured. It was definitely more frustrating than it should have been. Once assembled, though, I really like the design. The metal cage feels sturdy, the peanut butter holder is a fun idea, and I like that the cage is intended to allow smaller birds access while discouraging squirrels and larger birds.
