Life aboard a 23rd-century starship is not without its troubles. Back then, starship interiors were cramped and privacy was a rare luxury enjoyed mostly by the bridge officers. So as to not be surprised by interlopers, Starfleet personnel were known to arm their com-panels with motion sensors to alert a room’s occupant when their thresholds were breached. This door chime replica of those very com-panels brings classic 23rd-century design to the 21st century. The all-new Star Trek: The Original Series Electronic Door Chime has been updated from its original version. Duplicates all of its original functionality with 4 new sounds and new lighting effects. 23rd century duotronic circuitry and subspace transceivers... that technology is still a few hundred years away.

Entrance alerts may be known by a variety of names like entry alarms, entry chimes, and even exit alerts. Loosely speaking, an entrance alarm is anything that alerts you when someone, or something, enters or exits through a monitored zone. A quick example of one that's been around for hundreds of years is the shop keepers bell that hangs over a shop's entrance door.

The heart chime is crafted from a mix of acacia wood and recycled iron and glass. This chime works well indoors or under a covered porch; perfect size to hang on a doorknob. Handmade by artisans at a family workshop in Behat, India, the metal working craft has been passed down from one generation to the next. The workshop was established in 1976 and employs the artisan family and well-trained artisans from the area. Product Features: Type: Chime. Colors: Wood, Brass and colorful glass beads. Materials: Recycled iron and jute string. Dimensions: Approx. 12 inches from top to bottom and 4 inches wide. Wood heart is approximately 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches Cylinder bell is approximately 1 inch tall. Jute string for hanging. Story Behind the Art: The workshop buys sheets of scrap metal from dealers who collect it door-to-door. But dont let that make you doubt the quality of their handicrafts; they ensure the scrap comes from acceptable material and transforms the trash into beautiful art. The artisans specialize in a particular type of finishing known as Rasai?. This is when a layer of brass is added onto the wrought iron to give the products a rustic and crude appearance. Due to the handmade nature, slight variations in size, color, shape, pattern, or other characteristics may be evident. Each piece is truly a unique work of art, lovingly crafted by hand.

The Door chime - announces visitors as door opens - easy to install - no batteries or wiring needed - muting bar to silence sound - includes chime, mounting plate, metal disk, and mounting hardware• a small round magnetic disc is connected to a rod and the magnet attaches to a metal disc (which is attached to the frame or door) when the door is closed. The rod that is connected to the magnet is pulled off of the metal disc when the door is open, and the other side of the rod hits a metal plate (like one from a xylophone) which causes the chime sound.
