Love it! It looks so much nicer than our old wire kennel. Our dog is 60 lb (shepherd but on the shorter side) and our other 25 lb and they can both cuddle in it. I would not recommend for any bigger of a dog unless you are not going to put the bottoms in the drawersare not going to put the drawers in. The description says for small dog but my dog is a medium dog and has plenty of space. I had to look at the measurements before buying to make sure he would be okay in there because the description says for a small dog. Overall it’s great, I do just wish that the gates for the dog were more heavy and sturdy because if my dog really wanted to he could probably break through it. The back board is also flimsy so I wish it was a sturdier material since it’s for a dog. That’s the only reason for a 4 star because if my dog truly wanted to break out I don’t doubt that he could. This thing is a monster to put together! I would definitely recommend sliding aside a decent amount of time and having a helper. Ultimately, I’m happy with how it turned out and hopefully our dog will get accustomed to using this instead of its old crate. It looks really nice. I really love this piece, it is overall very sturdy and its beautiful. My only complaint is the putting the backing on. I took my time building everything to ensure everything was built to the best it could be. The backing punctured through the wood in spots where it was too thin. This is a very pretty alternative to the traditional metal dog crate. It arrived in perfect condition (no chipped corners or dings, that others mentioned) and my husband had it together in less than an hour. It does have a yellowish tinge to it(not as white as the photos suggest), but we were ok with it. Our 50lb hound/shepherd mix puppy has ample space to stand and stretch out. I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because, I think with a little time and boredom, she would easily be able to chew or dig her way out of this. We are using it only as a sleeping crate in our bedroom, so I am not worried about that. But I wouldn't put her in this and then leave the house. I really do love everything about this crate (so far). That is to say, I love the way it looks. I spent days looking at different furniture crates and had an aha moment when I found this one online. It was the perfect vibe for the aesthetic of my home. When it arrived I unpacked everything and inventoried all of the parts. Check. Then I read through the directions and it said it would take two people an hour to put it together. Uncheck. My dad and mom both came over to help. My dad is a carpenter and builder. It took us five hours and a lot of curse words to put it together. Was it worth it? At the time, no. But now that it's together, I'm glad we persevered. It really is a nice, sturdy piece. As for functionality? We'll see. I'm bringing an eight-week-old puppy home in a few weeks and imagine things will be pretty mild at first. The real test will be in a few months to see if the gates hold up. They aren't not sturdy, but they're also not affirmingly solid. This dog crate looks really nice. It wasnt too bad to assemble, just took some effort to get things lined up. I am sure with 2 people it would go a lot more smoothly. Some of the pieces dont feel very sturdy, like they almost broke when I was assembling. Altogether, it seems sturdy enough, but the white pieces could stand to be stronger material.
