This Metal yard kennel with doors is made very well. Instructions were a bit confusing so I took off one star for that. There is a so many pieces to this. It took an entire afternoon to put together. Im planning to use this for my new chicken run so Im not attaching the dog bowls but the door swing around great and lock in place. The whole structure is very sturdy. Assembly was super easy. We love this dog house. We have a 110 pound German shepherd who prefers being outside. I never grew up with an outdoor dog so I was extremely hesitant to move him full time to our backyard, but this dog house made it an easier choice. He’s super happy and so are we. One thing to note is the installation is very tricky. We thought we could do it ourselves but we ended up paying someone 700 to build it for us. Pieces are all labeled with part number. We laid out all parts in order first, makes it easy to find when assembling. Be careful with screws and bolts, there are not extras of all parts. Use a star bit on drill rather than the cheap wrench they give you. Also need a Phillips screwdriver for small screws on latches. .Metal is sturdy. Directions are quite clear, make sure you follow the order! It is all drawings and is a little confusing sometimes. Took us a good 4 hours to assemble and we are both very versed in construction. The "bars" that run vertical around kennel are round conduit. Using this for poultry? need to add hardware cloth around perimeter. Doors are SHORT, I am 5'5" and have to duck. Whacked my head a few times. Stakes to anchor down are included, we are using longer ones for stability. Also, the roof has bracing just covered by tarp cover then. We are putting wire cloth over whole roof under tarp. To ensure raccoon or any other cannot get on roof and rip through tarp roof. For poultry purposes, not sure if I would buy again. It is way sturdier than the standard chicken wire runs but requires modifications. We are wrapping whole thing in hardware cloth and doors too. Latches are functional but a bit tiny. I recently became an unexpected mom to a huge 9-months-old border collie. I needed a good sturdy kennel and wanted one that was attractive as well. I really love this kennel. It is very large, but it's what I needed. I had some difficulty putting it together by myself, but it is very doable. I also purchased the beautiful pillow shown inside in the attached photo from Wayfair, but the pillow is a little too lofty for my dog. Overall the crate is very nice, putting it together took quite a few hours but it came together. I took a star away because it’s kinda hard to open the front doors without putting your whole arm through the crate bars to unlatch the bottom & top. Also one side of the front crate door hinges didnt properly go in all the way so the doors are a little uneven.
