We’ve been using this table for a couple of weeks now and, overall, are very happy with it.
Assembly was easy, though a second person is helpful when attaching the legs.
Without the leaf, it is the perfect for daily use in our small space.
The folding leaf stores inside the table underneath the tabletop, ready to add space for guests when needed.
The storage compartment also holds the bar that supports the leaf to keep it from sagging-which is a thoughtful addition.
A black latch underneath the tabletop locks and unlocks the smooth rail system, while a silver latch keeps the table sections together. The exposed rails aren’t the most ascetically pleasing but most people aren’t bending over to look under the tabletop so we don’t mind too much.
The lower shelf adds storage and stability but limits legroom and can be tough on the shins. Removing it would definitely affect the stability of the table so we’ve learned to sit around it.
The tabletop is sturdy and easy to clean, though we use placemats and coasters to prevent scratches.
