I put it in my kitchen, and it looked incredibly elegant. Regarding the broken pieces, I filed a complaint and they are resolving the problem. I love buying from Wayfair because they are very responsible with their products in case of any issues. Timeless lighting. I’m loving the delicate linen fabric on the shade. Even though the drum was wrapped in plastic, there was a bit of glue from factory assembly, but I was able to peel it off. Something I couldn’t fix (and the reason for the 4 stars) is a small outward bend in the metal drum frame, noticeable from above. This changes the shape slightly, but not to the degree that it is noticeable when hung. Despite this small flaw, I really love this chandelier. Just perfection, I love it. I have been looking a several different lights for our side room. I wanted something big and bold but not bulky, also something classic I would still like down the road. Found it! I would say it was a little more difficult to install than the steps made it seem. My husband knows electric and still took us about an hour. I added a larger base at the top that I got somewhere else. It goes under the base of the light to add some more dimension. I really love it so much. The price was incredible, I did lots of research on chandler’s and I still can’t believe how good the price point is (look out for a sale too) The black is a true matte black, I used 40 watt chandler bulbs as they said that’s the highest you can go and it’s nice and bright.
