Very solid piece! The measurements are accurate but it's visually very large in a small space. Purchased in walnut and the color is exactly like the photo. This Murphy Bed comes in several heavy boxes with a lot of pieces. So it's definitely my recommendation to hire a professional to put it together to save you time and to ensure the product is assembled properly with anchoring to the wall for security. I must say it came together beautifully and will fit our needs for additional modern style storage and sleep space when we have overnight guests. The material is somewhat sturdy manufactured wood which is only noticeable up close. The frame will definitely only fit a 10 inch mattress or less. We tried a 12 in and the main door will not close. As many have mentioned, it would have been great to have shelves inside the cabinet but if you're handy you can easily install some for more storage. I have been shopping around for a quality Murphy bed for quite some time and almost bought a $4000 model but I'm glad I was able to save once I found this one for a fraction of the cost. This bed is awesome. It can be a little time consuming to put together. Getting the panels to align perfectly is a little challenging, but it is very well built and sturdy. We placed a nice thick memory foam mattress on this bed, and its very comfortable. It was able to allow us to make a combo OfficeGuest room. Its not photographed, but it does come with the couch also. We have the couch in another room right now. The components delivered were from different revisions of the bed. The frame was newer, and the panels were older so they didn’t match. The panel that went on the bed front did not match the frame. The box says call the manufacturer for issues. Calling the manufacturer resolved the issue because they were not sure that Wayfair was going to be able to deliver the proper matching panels. There were also problems with the instructions. One page says to cut off excess and the next page indicated to attach what was left over without cutting it. It took a long time on the phone to get this resolved, but the manufacturer resolved the problem. The product itself seems to be a good quality for the price.
