This twin over twin bunk bed with storage stairs is very sturdy and good quality, it was also easy to assemble as instructions were clear. I will say having two people help cuts down build time significantly. The LED lights for the bottom bunk change colors which is a nice add-on and the charging port is movable so I added it to the closest socket. Just make sure to not add it or put baby proofing on it if you have children under 3 in the home for safety reason as it is a loft bed and easily accessible. Beds are very nice, but a lot larger in person than they look in the picture. The picture must be in a large room. LOL My granddaughter lives in a mobile home so the rooms aren't that large and this bed takes up most of the room, but the beds are what we needed so it's ok. Just be aware that this set is large. One issue we found is the mattresses we have for both beds are very thick so for the top bunk, we are going to have to get an extra bed rail so my grandson does not roll off the bed as the mattress comes right to the top of the rail on the bed. The beds are nice though and quite sturdy. One BIG issue I had was I paid extra (thru the Wayfair order) for a "pro" from Angi's to come assemble the beds and that turned out to be a total disaster and after the "pro" being rescheduled 3 times, we just cancelled the assembly order and found someone local to put the bed set together. So I would definitely recommend NOT paying extra to have an Angi pro come assemble anything. Their system is flawed big time and a total waste of your money. We live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia which is a very large area, so the fact that they couldn't find a "pro" to assemble the beds is strange!! My only complaints are that I wish the upper side rails were higher since current mattresses are not thin, so our mattress sits flush with the rail. We use a pool noodle under the sheet along the rail for extra peace of mind. If your mattress is on the thinner side, you won’t have any issues. The second is that I wish the clearance underneath was just an inch or two taller, as it wouldn’t impact the bottom bunk and would allow larger totes to be stored under the bed. This bed took me a long time to assemble because it has so. many. parts. The instructions are fairly straightforward except for the step where you have to figure out on which side you want ladder. Its unclear if the diagram is showing you a right or left setup and the call-out telling you how to position one of the legs to make it right or left is confusing. Otherwise its good quality and *seems* sturdy. I like that the ladder rungs have some ridges on them so your feet wont slide, and that the sides are tall enough for a 8 inch mattress. I'm happy with the bunk bed. But my kids are ecstatic. They were celebrating it for like 30 minutes. And the best part is they sleep better now. Putting it together was as difficult as advertised and due to my fitness level, I was sore for days after. The instructions were thorough, though could have been better as some steps could be merged with later ones to make the construction easier to accomplish. And the slats portion could be improved significantly as some were shorter than others. Those steps also didn't convey that the position of each wasn't fixed. So I had to measure the bed frame and put marks down to ensure I did it evenly. I would have expected markings on the frame to indicate where the slats would go.
