Top came with small but noticeable damage (I was able to request a replacement piece). The rotating top is also a little wobbly considering the price. That being said, I’m happy with my purchase considering it saves a lot of space, provides decent storage area and fits my small room perfectly. The two compartments on the top lift up to open but sadly they do not lock in place to remain open, which could be a little inconvenient but there is a slow close on it so it does not slam closed. **TIP** there is a piece that covers the top so you can possibly sit items up there that is probably some type of mdf board and it probably blends in with the packaging and mine was thrown out, so just be mindful and ask for that piece. Great desk for a 9 year old. The drawers are fabric, the top one doesn't go in all the way because of the bar in the back. The two sections are held together with 2 wood pegs and isn't very sturdy and leaves a small gap. Our fabric drawers came really dirty. It was easy to put together and works as a nice first desk.. This is pretty easy to assemble but you absolutely need a helping hand towards the end to help flip the cabinet right side up. It perfect and functional for a small space. I loved the look of this cabinet/table when I saw it. It was just what I was looking for; a table that converts into a small cabinet when not needed as a table. There were no reviews which made me nervous initially to make the purchase but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. The table came in two boxes and was very well packaged. I was very impressed as I unboxed it and laid out the parts. Everything was well labeled and all pieces were present along with extras. It took my husband and I a little over 6 hours to assemble it. I would have easily given it 5 stars except for a few cons to this beautifully designed cabinet/table. Cons: It comes with lighting in the glassed storage shelving and electrical outlet on the side of the cabinet. These were not necessary. They ended up making the unit messy with cords and cables. I'm using it as a desk so you rarely see or need the cabinet lighting. The lighting is also powered by plugging it into the USB port on the desk. It's just not necessary. Secondly, the unit sits very flush to the floor. It was probably not intended to be on an area rug like I have it so I can't put it flush to the wall and the shelf drawer drags when I open it to access the inside.
