The only issue I had was how the assembly was layered out. However, once assembled it was very sturdy but very difficult to moveslide on carpet. Two of the front doors came damaged in shipping with small scrapes but very noticeable. The first desk took us about 5 hours, and even knowing exactly what we were doing, the second still took about 4 hours. I would absolutely recommend having two people, plenty of space, and a whole lot of patience. That being said, the instruction manual was surprisingly clear and helpful. There are simply a LOT of pieces and steps involved. Once assembled, though Worth it. They look like much more expensive pieces of furniture and completely transformed our homeschool room. I especially love all of the drawers, cabinets, shelving, and built-in desktop outlets. If you’re willing to survive the assembly process, I highly recommend them. The drawers open smoothly but they do make slight sound as it sort of scrapes along the metal. The drawers don’t have stoppers so COULD fall on toes BUT they’re so deep that I can’t imagine that happening. We do plan to remedy that in some way because it for our 7yo son, but not necessary for older kids or adults. chair opening is very large which makes it nice for widercrossed-legged chairs. Actually pretty good for the price. I made two kids desks that weekend, this one out of partial board and foil and a solid wood one that cost more than double. This one had no damage and by far the better instructions and assembly process. The end results were about the same (both kids happy) and seeing this will probably only fit them for 5 years, I think this was the better choice.
