Beautiful desk, frustrating assembly Once assembled, this desk looks fantastic. The white finish and gold hardware give it an upscale appearance, and the size is perfect for a home office or bedroom workspace. The drawers provide good storage, and the finished product looks much more expensive than its price point. Unfortunately, the assembly process was one of the most frustrating furniture builds I have experienced. Several diagrams in the instruction manual appear to be incorrect. Some parts were not labeled, and the drawer slide illustrations were reversed, which caused significant confusion and required disassembling and rebuilding portions of the desk after it was already assembled. I also found several small chips in the white finish. They are not highly noticeable from a distance, but they were disappointing on a new piece of furniture. The desk itself earns high marks for appearance and functionality, but the instructions and quality control issues prevented this from being a 5-star experience. I absolutely love this desk. I love that I can put both size monitors on top and it frees up the bottom part. There’s lots of shelving space on the inside and also the three drawers provide a sufficient amount of storage. The only downside to all of this was the instructions and the number of pieces that came in the box to put this whole thing together. There were a couple of instances where some pieces weren’t lining up, so my husband had to do a little bit of adjusting, but nothing major. But the walnut color is beautiful and it looks elegant. This desk is an excellent value at this price point. Pressed wood, but looks realistic enough. It’s quite solid and well made. It does take quite a bit of time to put together but I wouldn’t say it was hard. The directions had a lot of detail and were simple to follow. I put it together mostly alone over two days (desk one day, hutch the next). My only complaint is the picture on Wayfair is misleading in color. It is not a true grey as I had hoped.
