This is a very nice office chair mat to protect my hardwood floor. I used to buy the see-through plastic mats for the chair to roll around on, but decided to try Wayfair's suggestion in regards to this type of mat. I'm glad I did. I ordered these chair mats recently and was a little surprised that they felt pretty cold when they arrived. If you’re ordering during the winter, I’d recommend letting them sit at room temperature for a while before unrolling them. Once they warmed up and I followed the instructions, they flattened out without any issues. So far they’ve been working really well. My chair glides smoothly on the carpet now, which is a big improvement from before. They also look nice and are easy to wipe clean, so maintenance has been simple. Wow! This was a fabulous gift for my husband who works from home but his office chair has now scraped up a section of our hard wood floors. This glass mat is very thick and sturdy especially for a man who weighs 240 lbs! The mat was delivered with 3 diff types of floor protectors clearly outlined for flat surfaces, rug surfaces or carpet surfaces. That was a great idea!
