The desk itself is great, the perfect size for our 7 year old with some room to grow. Seems sturdy enough to last. I took a star away for the assembly, it comes in SO MANY PIECES! Like 50 pieces of wood, not including screws and such. It took my husband, who is a handyman/trade worker, about an hour and 15 minutes to put it together just because there were so many parts.. I'm a 6'1" 240lb man (athletic), and it isn't remotely "too small" as some have said, so adjust your expectations for your body type. The cushion is firm, but comfortable in my opinion. I didn’t like seeing that through the glass so I used black stock card behind the glass doors and that did the trick. I am considering changing the knobs to something more primitive.
