Deep Bowl Bird Bath

I’m pleased with the quality and the design of the birdbath. The birds came immediately and fought over a space in the bowl. However, I do have one gripe. The birdbath was so over packed that it was difficult and time consuming to unpack it. Although it was probably worth it because there was not a single scratch on the birdbath.. Joan Allen . One of my best purchases off Wayfair. It arrived without any damage and it is absolutely stunning . The copper color is so cool, especially in the sun! In just a week of having it up, there have been at least 10 different varieties of birds visiting it. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend.. Elizabeth. Granby, CO. Arrived in perfect condition even though the box was dented. I love the weight of the birdbath; no cat or coyote will be able to knock it over, like the cheap ones I had before.. Vickie. San Juan Capistrano, CA. Wed Oct 07 2026

The birdbath is beautiful! However, it is very light weight. I had to fill it with water and use grounding stakes to hold it down…just happened to be a very windy day when I received it. My husband said it is too deep, that I will drown the birds…LOL. I will keep it because it is very pretty and will drain some of the water.. Anonymous. US. Fri May 15 2026

Sun Pottery Classic Bird Bath has a unique, strong, locking device (not plastic). All Alcott Hill® glazed pottery and bird baths are fired in gas kilns. These are significantly more environmentally friendly than the large, standard, wood-fired "Dragon" kilns used by most of Alcott Hill® competitors. The "Dragon" kilns burn a huge amount of rubber wood at each firing which is very bad for the environment and doesn't provide even firing for the product. Alcott Hill® gas Kilns ensure more even colors and better quality products because the temperature is controllable; unlike that in the wood-fired kilns. Durable frostproof construction (up to 32 degrees F.).

This is a nice bird bath. I wanted one that blends into my yard and wasn’t ornate and this fits that bill perfectly. It is hollow inside so it does need to be on solid, flat ground. Note that it isn’t perfectly level at its base so while it sits just fine it is at a slight angle - you can see where the water isn’t level in the bowl. There is no base stake so not sure why that is in the title but it isn’t needed and not sure how it would work anyway. And most importantly, the birds came right to and have continued to use it.. We suggest that birdbath tops not be left outside in the winter. Once the top fills with water/snow and freezes, the top may crack. All birdbath/fountain bases, bench legs, and statuary should be raised off the ground in winter so they will not freeze to the ground surface. Ideally, a fountain should be stored indoors in the winter away from the elements. However, if a fountain bowl must be left outside, remove all pumps, rubber stoppers, drain pipes, finials, and small components, and cover the top with burlap or any absorbent material (old blanket/towel) and then wrapped with dark plastic, making sure that water does not accumulate in the basin and freeze. Fountain pumps, finials, and other small components should be stored indoors. Check the fountain periodically to ensure that the cover is secure and water is not accumulating in any fountain component.

Without a doubt, this is the classiest birdbath I have ever seen. Even the tiny chickadees can hold on the edge to get a drink. I love it as does my husband.. Carole. Tue Oct 01 2024
