Deep Base Rat Cages

This animal cage features a metal frame with a wooden ramp and edge barriers. Measuring 27.6"L x 20"W x 55.2"H, the critter nation cage is constructed from solid fir wood and heavy-duty galvanized wire mesh. The five-level design offers ample space for exploration and climbing, and includes a small resting house. It is equipped with a deeper, leak-proof plastic tray that can be pulled out from the front and back and features a lock to prevent escapes. The metal wire mesh top and a visible front door provide good ventilation, allow for easy observation, and facilitate catching pets. This cage is suitable for a variety of small animals including ferrets, chinchillas, rats, squirrels, and sugar gliders, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. I rescued some baby squirrels that had lost their mother and it was perfect for them until they were old enough to set free. They now live happily in my parents back yard where they have lots of trees and two small ponds. My parents put food out for them to make sure they are eating well and they come to visit whenever my parents out in the yard. They are still wold and don't get too close which is exactly what my parents intended. The edges of hamster cage are framed with aluminum alloy prevents pets from chewing. Removable small floor on second level. Cover the small floor the house to be two separate apartments. So far this is working out for our hamster. We made the bottom section a big burrowing area with paper bedding and just made it lower by the doors so it didn't fall out if we needed to open it. This is one of the only cages that was close to the recommended sizes for a hamster and it was able to fit everything we planned. I wish every screw hole was pre drilled but being careful and using a drill I was able to make it work. Taking the film off one of the glass sides was harder to take off but was able to manage.. We bought this addition for our ferrets house HOPING it was the right one to fit. It fit like a glove. Our ONLY complaint is that the front panel had the brackets (to attach it to our existing cage) welded on the top, so we had to install it upside down to make it work. The door swings on the left, not the right, which is backwards, but it works. We just turned the latching hardware around to make it lock "right". Thankfully we are handy enough to figure that out.. Very well built cage, high quality wheels, stable, lots of space, a bit bigger than the standard 30 x 30 x 30 interior plus cart, but my birds love it. The only drawback is cage bars that go horizontally at the sides of the cage so you can't attach water containers and toys, etc., through the bars, but the front bars are vertical and perfectly spaced.
