This fireplace has been such a wonderful addition to my home. I am disabled was able to do the very small amount of “installation” required by myself -one has to screw the legs onto the unit. It adds a lovely ambiance to my living room that everyone comments on enjoys. I really like this electric heater. I prefer to use a small unit like this instead of turning on the main house heat. The imitation logs and flame look really nice. I love the Duraflame brand and their Electric Fireplace Media Console did NOT disappoint!! There is so much I like about it- the design on the cabinet doors (and their tempered glass!), the bright white finish and faux marble top, the molding along the bottom. It is just beautiful in person. I had another electric fireplace before this, and the flame on this one looks so much more realistic. I love that you can change the settings on the size of the flame, so it can look like a roaring fire all the way down to just glowing embers (5 settings total). It puts off fantastic heat and you can adjust the temperature by several degrees, either in one degree or 5 degree increments. It comes with a remote control and also has a discreet control panel on the unit. It has an option to set a timer for the heat to automatically turn off. As an added bonus, it has a safety plug that prevents overheating. It has a nice storage space with a cable opening in the back for electronic devices (like a soundbar). The cabinet door handles are heavy and quality metal. The cabinets have lots of storage space with adjustable shelves. It's a large piece and heavy, so be prepared to have someone help with the box when it arrives and plan on it taking about 2 1/2 hours to assemble. Just finished putting together this electric mist fireplace. I wasn’t sure what to expect from it since I have never seen anything like it before and didn’t know how the watermist effect would work. But Wow! This is so cool. It has multiple different color options, fog density options, lengths of time that you can set it to, cycles it can run through, and it basically acts as a humidifier. It has a little bit of a noise with it since it has fans behind it that run, but it is in no way overly noisy so it could be covered with a running tv or music. It also has a bit of a water moving noise like any humidifier does but I don’t mind that at all and find it relaxing. Works good and looks nice but it would have helped if the remote control worked. There’s no way to dim the lights without the remote so it is very bright when the room is dark. Update… Contacted the manufacturer directly and they fixed the issue. They were very responsive and sent a free replacement remote control and panel. They guided me through the whole process of pairing the remote and followed through a few days later to see how everything was working. Now it is working 100 perfect!!
