This beautiful Gregorian Alto Wind Chime offers a calm, uplifting song when the wind blows. Experience the inner quiet that comes from listening to the peaceful patterns of Gregorian chant. Tuned to a medieval scale, this Gregorian Alto Wind Chime echoes the vocal music that has been sung as a part of daily devotionals and meditation in the monasteries and churches of Western Europe for more than a thousand years. Many believe this music to have remarkable healing powers. The sound is beautiful, relaxing, and mysteriously compelling. Like the free-flowing monophonic lines of the chant, this windchime's resonant tones will surround the listener as the sounds linger in the breeze.

A favorite, tuned to the traditional scale of Balinese shadow puppet play. This chime gets its tuning from one of the brightest elements of the music of Bali, an exotic scale played by percussive gamelan orchestras. The warm winds and plentiful precipitation of the rainforest bring about lush, colorful plants and flowers. Tuned to beautiful melodies and scales from around the world and available in a wide range of styles, songs, and sizes, you can choose the Woodstock Chime that speaks to your soul. How it all began. Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Chimes / Woodstock Percussion, in 1979 and it remains based in New York's Hudson Valley. GRAMMY Award-winning musician Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympos, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can't be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympos was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our best-selling wind chimes.

Tuned to the notes of Mozart's Piano Concerto 21 in C Major. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) lived a short but extremely rich musical life. Revered for numerous symphonies, chamber works, concerti and operas, his career started as a child prodigy and ended tragically at the young age of 35. This wind chime pays tribute to his 250th birthday and is tuned to the opening intervals of the Andante movement from his Piano Concerto number 21 in C Major (K. 467). This concerto was used as the theme music for the 1967 Swedish film, Elvira Madigan.

Soothing sounds as expected !! My front porch has nice variety with the Gregorian , Amazing Grace , & now the Mozart chime sounds !! Great to listen to as wind blows everyday. Betty Jo. Sanford, FL. Thu Jan 04 2024

Must be heard! The special acoustic effect makes "2001" sound like a million! Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime features a musical phenomenon known as Octave Doubling. Here's how it works you remember the Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do scale from the Sound of Music? The "Do" notes at the start and end of this scale are the same note, an octave apart. Notes separated by an octave are considered harmonically equivalent and "ring" together in a way that adds a pleasing sound to the music. Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime takes this theory to the extreme each note of this wind chime is matched with its "octave double." Never before used in wind chimes, this special tuning creates a heightening of the harmonics, creating a song that must be heard to be believed. Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime is tuned to the intervals of the first notes of the famous symphonic poem, also spinach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss, more commonly known as the powerful musical opening to Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The chime-within-a-chime design couples notes in four octaves, exponentially increasing the soundscape and quadrupling the octave-doubling effect! This Provence Wind Chime is tuned to the lovely scale from Erik Satie's Gnossienne, written in 1890. An eccentric French composer, Satie, and his music had a significant influence on fellow impressionists Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. Many of the great impressionist painters of the 19th-century artists such as Renoir, Zanne, and Matisse created some of their most celebrated works in Provence, the region in southern France known for delighting the senses. It was here that Van Gogh produced his famous still lifes with sunflowers in 1888-1889. The extraordinary landscapes in Provence, infused with the scent of lavender and rosemary, and its delicious cuisine leave a lasting impression as will their Provence Wind Chime. Just as the landscapes of Provence inspired some of the world's greatest impressionist painters, they have inspired us, as well. This wind chime reflects the color and tone of the French countryside, right down to the sunflower image burned into the wood of the windcatcher.

This handcrafted, wind-activated bell, with its bold tone and design, functions nicely as a welcome bell at any entrance to your home or garden. This steel ball has been coated with a handsome, durable finish, so you can enjoy it for years to come. Hang your Heroic Large Wind Chime in a breezy spot and let it play in the wind.

The Heroic Windbell™ Wind Chime is a very nice chime. Made with quality metal material and the sound of the chime is beautiful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is extremely heavy. I bought it to hang on a shepards hook by our pool but it is way too heavy. We will need to get a strong mounted hook to support its weight. Overall very happy because it is a uniquie item.. Bonny. This exotic-sounding wind chime is tuned to the scale of the gamelan degung. This deep sounding wind chime takes you to the volcanic South Pacific, where magical music is heard every day on the Indonesian island of Java. Tuned to the musical scale of the gamelan degung (suggested to them by the pioneer American composer and instrument builder, Lou Harrison), the Javanese orchestra's intrinsically beautiful music combines simple elements to produce intricate textures. This lush, shimmering sound captivated and inspired musicians from the West such as Claude Debussy and Erik Satie. In fact, Satie first heard a Javanese gamelan orchestra play at the Paris Exposition of 1889 and incorporated its hypnotic effects in his exotic work, Gnossienne. The Java Wind Chime will inspire and hypnotize you as you listen to its mysterious melodies.
