Assembly was two people. I didnt find it difficult, just took time. The white painted finish has some cracking. Not too noticeable. My daughter spent 5 nights on the bed -said it was comfortable. She did crack one of the slats in two sitting on the edge. I may be able to repair. Net net, it is serving its purpose for occasional house guests.
