The pictures were ok to put together, but at one point I realized I had part of the bottom box wall upsidedown and this was preventing me from being able to screw the base part to the shoe rack box part. I figured it out easily enough but someone may not notice the lineup is wrong like I did and have the same problem. Also, it is almost impossible to screw in one of the top bolts. I had an empty corner in my entryway and needed something to fill the space. Since my house lacks an entry closet, this bench, hanging hooks, and shoe shelves combo does a fantastic job of filling that void. It fits perfectly in the space. Assembly was relatively straightforward, and the instructions were easy to follow, but a few parts were a bit tricky. Attaching the legs to the base and mounting the coat rack would definitely be easier with the help of another person. As for quality, the wood veneer looks just like the product pictures, but it does flake off easily, so you'll want to be cautious when handling and installing the parts. Overall, I think it is decent for its price. Still, I wonder if the bench can actually support 400 pounds and I recommend considering anchoring it to the wall if you have small children, as it can wobble a little bit.. Michael. Nashville, TN.
