Nice mat. It lays flat. Dirt can fall in between the dots, which prevents it from being tracked inside. The shortcoming is that the dots aren't that effective in scrubbing dirt off shoes. After only about 4 months the wiper spikes broke off and left behind a flat surface that in turn became nothing more then a water tray. Not useful as a mat to wipe messy footwear on. Welcome your family and friends to this mat. This action-backed mat holds up in almost any weather condition. This doormat has black binding tape to hold its many layers together. The top layer is a polyester felt that is dyed with the image that you see on the mat. The next couple of layers give the mat stability and the bottom of the mat is a rubber that has been stamped to help prevent slipping. To clean this mat, hose it off with a water hose or use a power washer. Do not use any cleaner that produces suds.
