I like this and I am small enough fit through the gate, but my elderly father has trouble with it and his caregiver has trouble fitting through it and opening and closing it. Absolutely perfect for my needs. We now own 5 of these gates which we use to keep our dog restricted to certain areas of the house. The features we like best are that you can install it on either side of the doorway, the gate swings both ways, and you can install it above the floor, if desired. This works out perfectly for our cats, who are able to slip under the gate (mounted 6 inches above the floor). The dogs are not able to follow. I used these two latches for my she shed. I need them to lock the gate as I come in and out. They do the job and I like that they are stainless steel for the weather outdoors so they don't tarnish! For comparison, our other gate (which weve had for a long time and still use for our puppy elsewhere) was easily 2 to 3 times more expensive than this one, yet it doesnt even have an auto-close feature. This product works best with vinyl, wood, aluminum, and steel gates. Accepts a padlock for additional security.
