It does not extract a 'wow' from my guests but it does not get chided either - it adds a conservative finish decor to your place - and we sought that. This is a really beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture. Mine did come with a crack on the top edge. But it did not affect the structural integrity and so I reported it to the manufacturer. They were great to work with and we came to an agreement that I feel is fair to all. This does come with a marker too in case you scratch something while assembling and so I used that on the crack and though I know it is there, I doubt any guests would ever notice it now. It is heavy so make sure you don’t try and move it by yourself. About 100 pounds. Great stand…you can only mount the tv one way though and for us that meant the doors would open toward the bed as we put this at the end of our bed.
