I was super excited to finally get the 8qt compared to my 4qt that I've been using for about 20 years now. I only had this now for 4 months found out you have to set it on low or it will burn whatever chili or meats you are cooking in it. I was using it to chili the other day and started to smell something burning. So I looked at the outlet and the cord to find the cord was melting. Waste of money I do not recommend. Randyc. I have had this Crock-Pot for 9 years. Sadly, the crock part got a crack in the bottom and the juices from the sweet potatoes I was cooking leaked into the heater part. They are way more expensive now than I they were 8 years ago. So, I am shopping for a new one. The crock part I will use as a planter or something.. Lunachick. Saint Paul. Mn. Wed Dec 03 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pot is huge and the inside markers for volume are great. Heat flows really well because it’s aluminum & stainless steel, so was able to cook at a lower setting on the stove more evenly. It was easy to wash and cleaned up well. Will get a lot of use out of this pot before it shows any wear. It’s oven safe but I haven’t tried that yet!. Elizabethb. Tue Jul 07 2026
