Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors. Ok so I would have given this 5 stars because it’s gorgeous and COULD HAVE BEEN easy to assemble - BUT… it came with the screwsbolts on the legs covered in some sort of protective hard plastic that was all but GLUED to the metal. I had to use assorted serrated knives to sawpry them off first. It took half an hour to get them all the way off and by the time I finally did it, there was shredded plastic all over the room, the wood was damaged because there was no way around that (I had to be aggressive to get them to budge), and I was bleeding.
