The table is HEAVY, huge and absolutely beautiful! Even without the extension inserted, you can comfortably seat 6 people around it. I assembled it alone in 2 hours but I recommend having help as the instructions require you to put the giant table top flat on a blanket/rug, flip the base upside down onto the tabletop, attach bolts and then flip the entire assembled (super heavy) table right side up. I found another way to do it since I was alone but having someone help you will allow you to place the table top right over the base and add the screws from underneath. The sliding doors for storage underneath are a really nice touch. Also, the packaging for this table was beyond efficient-my dining room was piled high with cardboard and styrofoam. 5 trash bags just for the styrofoam alone! I’ve owned a brown square counter height table for about 8 years. Disliked it since day one and when I came across this farmhouse one, I was excited. The day it arrived, the delivery guys put everything together and I think it took them no more than an hour. I highly recommend having them put it together for you. Had no issues with parts and nothing was damaged. But most of all, it is a heavy table. Not completely solid wood but close to it and will last longer than my previous one that’s for sure.
