We’ve had a less than average stove for quite some time. It was getting the job done but we didn’t really know what we were missing. This thing is amazing! I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. For the money.... I don't know why someone would spend $5-10,000 on a Viking unless you owned a busy restaurant and wanted to keep it 50 years. This has gas broiling in the main oven (not in the drawer)... the center burner is perfect for stir fry / Wok cooking, and the other burners have various sizes for your BTU needs. So far so good. The installation was tough as the template supplied for the alignment of the screw holes on the back didn't really work. We had to modify the holes on the back.
