I bought this bed specifically for the storage underneath and the drawers are tiny. It's very deceiving. They might hold a few pairs of socks and underwear and they also aren't on a track, so they just slide around. If this bed ain't take hours to put together I'd return. We bought 2. They were a long assembly. They are nice though. Seem to be good quality. The drawers hold quite a bit and there’s plenty of open storage behind the drawers. We are so happy with this bed! My 9-year-old daughter absolutely loves it. Since we put it together, she actually makes her bed every morning and keeps telling us how much she loves spending time in her room — which might be the best review a parent can give! Assembly was very straightforward and easy to follow. Like some of the other reviews mentioned, it does take some time, but I chose to build it in sections over two days, which made the process very manageable. I was able to assemble almost the entire bed myself. My husband only had to help me carry the bookcase sections upstairs because of their size. For the price, I think this bed is an excellent value. It completely changed the look and feel of my daughters room and gives her a fun, cozy setup that she genuinely enjoys. We had an odd shaped room that needed a bed bigger than a twin. This bed fits perfectly in the corner and freed up so much floorspace! The shelves are great for books, and the desk makes it a great creative space too. The instructions were easy to follow, but it did take a couple days to assemble by myself. This works really well for my son. He thinks the lights are cool and there are lots of spots to place his books and collections. We had up buy a new mattress though.
