My husband loves this fan in his mancave of a garage. It has 3 speeds, and on 1, it is powerful. He installed it from a garage rafter, and it can tilt up , down, and side to side. It was easy to add this fan to a location where a porch light was no longer needed. I purchased a 3 way switch and connected inside so that we can change the speed with a wall switch. I did not add any additional wiring, so it does not oscillate. However, it is mounted in a 9x9 ft space, so that is not a problem. It is very comparable in sound and pressure to the same desk top fan that I use in my bedroom. This ceiling fan with a remote can rotate in a 360-degree motion. The fan speed and oscillation are controlled independently.
