I will admit that I have never had an air-purifier before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it did not disappoint. I used this in a bedroom and by the end of the week I could tell a difference. It is a fairly large bedroom, but it works perfectly. My wife who was a doubter can tell when I have turned it off and tells me to turn it back on. The only way I know to explain it is the air feels crisper, clean. We do have a large dog and two people in the house. It isn't too loud, the three levels are a little quieter than a fan on low. The night level is very quiet. Also, it's very easy to keep clean.
