Overall, I absolutely love this desk! It did arrive with a few minor issues that Wayfair rectified. This is a solid piece of furniture. I would definitely recommend paying for the delivery and setup. The two compartments on the top lift up to open but sadly they do not lock in place to remain open, which could be a little inconvenient but there is a slow close on it so it does not slam closed. **TIP** there is a piece that covers the top so you can possibly sit items up there that is probably some type of mdf board and it probably blends in with the packaging and mine was thrown out, so just be mindful and ask for that piece. OK..Well I went back and forth with cabinets...Studied them all for days, and tried to remove the ones I found that were metal. I wanted 6 shelves, and these were taller than the rest and matched the Wonston Porter drawers that I purchased days before, so I thought they would be the same. BUT THEY ARE METAL. So, be careful there. One door is dented, and I am contacting Wayfair to get them to send another door. Other than that, they look really nice. Very useful for all my shoes and handbags.. Sher.
