We love this shelf!! and love that we were able to scale it that tall! Our set up is about 101 inches tall! I had to shorten one end at the corner of the room, but that was very easy, and I was able to "customize" it a bit as needed. I was even able to move some of the in shelf nuts to other places to secure the black metal supports! We added a few of the same shelf in shorter lengths to fill two walls of the room. We used almost seven full sections of shelves. Each one will stand on it's own or can be attached to others, which is what we did here. The seventh one was shortened by about eleven inches to make it fit perfectly!. Burton. Cottonwood Heights, UT. Sun Jun 14 2026

UPDATE The planks were positioned the wrong way initially but upon trying again they all fit, albeit tightly. Once the alignment was settled, the bookshelf was easy to build. Seems very solid and strong for MDF. The metal frame is a good thickness, not too hideously clunky, about 2cm (less than 1 inch.) I have placed a great deal of books on it, including several heavy coffee table books and textbooks. Only time will tell how well it holds. All in all, very pleased with the product and its Bauhaus-look. Would potentially buy another as my library grows. ORIGINAL Top plank measures 10.5inches while the top bar opening measures 9.5inches. How was this ever supposed to fit????. Jessica. Pico Rivera, CA. Tue Apr 28 2026

It is difficult to put together even after adding the Pro assembly. Of course that could be the quality of Pro's out of Angi's list. The instructions were almost non exsistent. Holes didn't line up. It appears slightly askew and likely to fall over at any minute! Low quality compared to the price! It's up now after a terrible 5 hours.... we will likely keep it and find someone to attach it to our walls for security as our Pro had no stud finder. I'd say pass on this. Robert. OK.
