The assembly went well. The color is a darker gray, although it did say taupe. We’re keeping it for the fact that it’s still matches in our room. This chair replaced a loveseat that we didn’t need anymore. It accommodate a taller person with longer legs due to the dimensions of the cushion from knee to hip. it is a little lower to the ground than I anticipated, but it is doable. The leather is very good quality. It's comfortable. I'm a little short so when I sit back my feet don't touch the floor due to the depth of the chair. I'm fine with it like that. I like using 2 throw pillows behind me. I have my sofa on risers, so I also have my wonderful new chair on risers. We only had to bolt the legs on. Each leg has 4 screws to secure them. These chairs were exactly what I needed very comfortable well-made I’ve seen some criticism about them being hard to assemble. I didn’t find that to be true.
