The reclining mechanism works smoothly and opens and closes with very little effort. The leather upholstery is soft, and it looks much more expensive than I expected and is comfortable to sit on for long periods. I ordered the pale gray color, and it matches the photos perfectly. The shade is a true light gray that blends well with a variety of decorating styles and brightens up the room. Assembly couldn't have been easier. The back simply slides into place, no tools needed, and no confusing instructions. From opening the box to sitting in the chair it only took a few minutes. The recliner feels firmer than some recliners, which I prefer because it provides excellent support without feeling stiff or uncomfortable. It feels well-made and is comfortable whether you're sitting upright or fully reclined. Overall, this recliner exceeded my expectations.
