The material is very soft yet sturdy enough to give a beautiful finished appearance to the bed. No pulls or wrinkles. It very easily ties to the duvet insert which also makes it easy to remove. I've thrown it into the washer and dryer ( on a low setting) and no shrinkage or change in texture. I also ordered a queen size for a full size bed because I enjoy the appearance of the extra draping on either side of the bed. I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it. I am honestly really impressed with this bedding set. I ordered it hoping to give our bedroom a quick refresh without spending a fortune, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The duvet without the insert looks just fine for me and I'm hoping it's not too heavy but since I live in the north I think it'll be just right. I also feel that since my bed is a queen I would have liked this duvet to be a little bit larger for more of an overhang, I should have ordered a king size just for the extra overhang.. Beautiful neutral comforter set that can be dressed up many ways. I placed the comforter with the smooth satin parts at the head and foot of the bed instead of the sides which I find prettier and allows making the bed much easier.
