The teardrop design of the sturdy steel rod allows for a higher load capacity than a standard round bar. It also helps hangers slide easily. I installed the rods at exactly 48 inches. They feel lightweight but sturdy, and the hanging brackets feel sturdy too. The instructions were a little unclear, and I wasn’t sure what the extra screws were for, but I was able to install them. If you have the space, I’d recommend choosing a larger size for more support in the middle. I don’t plan to pack mine tightly; I’ll use them for my seasonal and most-worn clothes.. Kahrla_g. Ig. These industrial pipe racks have been a great addition to both of our closets. Very simple to hang, and the black matte finish gives a clean, modern industrial look that fits well against both light and warm-toned walls. We used them to add extra hanging space in tight closet corners and awkward nooks that would otherwise go unused, and theyve held up well to daily use. The only thing is the anchors that came with it do not hold the bracket with heavy cloth, so we had to buy stronger anchors. Once we swapped those in, everything mounted securely and hasnt budged since, even with coats and heavier garments hanging on it. Its a minor extra step, but worth knowing ahead of time if you plan to hang anything substantial — a quick trip to the hardware store for heavier-duty anchors solves it completely.. Karla. Great storage system for small closets! We were originally trying to find a short dressed to fit in this shallow closet but this was a way better solution and much better use of vertical space. It was a lot sturdier and heavier than we had imagined which was a nice surprise. We had bought the add on top shelf to extend the upper shelf space but realized our closet wasn’t tall enough to accommodate it which is fine and now we have this small hidden storage spot on top. It’s nice that they offer the add ons but we will be returning the extra shelf since we can’t use it. This was also a great price on sale compared to other closet storage options.. Sydney.
