For what this is,, an inexpensive, tall narrow bookcase, it is decent. It is very hard to find the case the arrow so I was glad for it. But it’s definitely laminate MDF wood. For the price in the particular use, I needed it for it works really well. Also, I wasn’t sure if I would like the black interior, but it’s actually nice and makes it look a little more expensive than if it was all fake walnut MDF on the inside.. Leslie. Valley Village, CA. Well, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm very disappointed in the woodgrain "look", and the fact that some of it was peeling off the particle board as I was trying to put it together. Also, the directions are extremely poor! They don't show front/back, or any of that. IT was very confusing and difficult to put together. It has "a b c d e f g", et cetera on all of the pieces listed in the catalog, but the only things that were marked on the items to put together was a and b. Very disappointing! I would likely not buy from this manufacturer again.. Debra. Redding. Wed Jun 24 2026

The touch feeling is smooth, and it will be stain-resistant, just wipe with wet cloth could take good care of it.

The cabinet itself is beautiful (nice warm dark brown) and was easy for me (at 73 yrs old) to assemble. I just wish that they would come with a kit with two small screw drivers to assemble. I only found one small chip on the backside corner of the cabinet. It was easy for me to lift and put into place. I really wish I could have found it at 17 inches wide. Anything more would have been too wide but 15 inches wide worked well.. Dolores. US. Sun Sep 13 2026

The bookcase itself is very nice, but some holes didn't line up when putting it together. Also the top portion and the bottom portion do not line up flush across the front. They are offset from each other. I did not see anything explaining that the pegs that hold the shelves are made of plastic. I have bought other bookcases that use pegs to set the shelves onto, but they are metal.. Jane. Warren, OH. Sat Jun 27 2026

This is perfectly nice for what it is: a mid-range bookshelf, so read the other reviews carefully and know what you're in for! This looks exactly like was described and in the photos (and other reviewers' photos) and I can confirm it's a pain to put together. I did it by myself which took about an hour and a half including redoing one section when I realized I did it backwards. That was my fault of not looking carefully enough at the instructions since they are fairly detailed and it's clear from the diagrams how each piece should be aligned - I just didn't pay attention! The worst part by far was getting the panels that form the curved top to curve and stay in place. It's doable with a lot of patience and would be much easier with someone else to help. Overall, it's pretty sturdy and I'll be using it for storage and display in the corner of a room, so I'm happy with this purchase as it'll work for what I need.. Rachel. United States. Great shelving unit for living room, home office, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, basement, garage, balcony, and more.

This bookcase did exactly what I needed! I’m very happy with this bookcase overall. It looks beautiful once assembled and styled, and it has a more elevated look than I expected for the price. The shelves are deeper than I originally realized, which actually worked out well because I was able to use it for books, skincare, fragrance, décor, small plants, and framed pieces without everything feeling cramped. Assembly took some patience, but once it was together it felt sturdy and looked much better than I expected. I especially like that it gives me enough storage without making the room feel heavy or cluttered. One thing I would recommend is purchasing furniture anchors for added stability and safety, especially since this is a taller piece. I would also suggest measuring your space and planning your shelf layout ahead of time because the depth can surprise you. Once I figured out how I wanted to style it, I really loved the finished look. It has become one of my favorite pieces in the room and works perfectly for the cozy, organized look I was trying to create. I would definitely recommend it.. Larissa. IL. Thu Sep 03 2026

We are enjoying our bookcase. The light color fits in just fine with the other colors of bookcases. It was pretty easy to put together. The only complaint we have is that the top has spaced out little holes in the front. My husband says he followed the directions, so I guess we have to fill in the holes. Hmmm.... Carolyn.
