Finally received this polywood bench! It is being used for a memorial bench for a person that meant a lot to many people. Polywood is the absolute best material for outside use. Nice super sturdy bench. Now i dont have to worry about the wood getting wet, bc this bench is made from HDPE all weather materials! No rain or weather will destroy this one! Assembly wasnt as easy as i was hoping for and i had to stop building it since screw holes didnt quite aline ( other reviewers have mentioned it before) My husband had to take the drill out to make a new screwhole and it luckely remediated the situation. What a great bench. First, it's pretty easy to put together. I broke my finger and my whole hand is in a cast and I was still able to do it. There are some bolts and holes that are tricky to line up, but that's pretty common. The build quality is excellent. It's very sturdy and heavy duty. I received this bench on June 3, 2023. My husband and I worked together to construct it. I was very disappointed to find in the instructions that it is to be constructed with small dowel pegs. No screws are included. The instructions tell u that if a dowel breaks off while u are using a rubber mallet to hammer it in then u need to use a 1/8 drill bit to drill that one out and insert another one. I would have rather the manufacturer design this bench with screws as part of the construction which would have provided more strength and stability. However, we decided to give it a try and we began to construct it. Several dowels broke and I had to do as the instructions noted. It seems to be fairly tight together at this point but I will be monitoring it as time goes by. I applied a coat of Teak Oil to it and it brings out the beautiful grains and color.
