I just love it! We needed a clock/thermometer combo for our patio that could be seen from the house (my husbands desk looks out on the patio) and be heavy enough that it wouldn't fly off when things get windy where we live. (We get micro-bursts as well as high MPH winds where we live...) I also wanted something good looking. This hit all the marks, was a great value for what it is, plus it has a Hygrometer, which tracks humidity. The back of the unit "key holes" sit down over the screw heads and the clock itself is weighty and broad. Between both of those features, I expect it will stay put even in the windiest conditions we get around here. I received this metal rooster and hen garden statue by Rosalyn Wheeler through the Wayfair, tried and true program. We have done some serious renovation to our yard over the past two summers and this summer, I have the joy of “decorating“. These two adorable metal garden statues are ideal! The chicken comes fully assembled and comes with hooks to insert between the toes of the chicken feet into the ground to stabilize the statue. The rooster comes in three pieces, but it’s minimal assembly. The feet have one screw to turn to secure the feet to the body, and the tail does not have a screw or bolt. It inserts into a metal slot at the back of the rooster. At first, I thought this might not be very stable however, I have found that it is completely stable and it stays very secure. A tip that I think you should know is before putting the tail on gently pull forward, the tail and feathers on the body of the rooster. Doing this will allow you better access to the metal slot to insert the tail and then you can gently Fan the feathers back against the tail, making it look more seamless. Before I did that I inserted the tail and it did not look right. After gently doing this, it looks terrific. As you can see from my photos, they are a sizable pair. The country/cottage style of this combination of clock and thermometer will add a natural elegance to your outdoor living space.

The outdoor clock-thermometer arrived in good condition as scheduled. The instructions are confusing. The instructions indicate that the clock's hands need to be removed and replaced to remove and discard a packaging/security part. This was apparently done at the factory. The clock is keeping good time without any "assembly." The instructions about initializing the thermometer are not clear, but turning the knob on the back seems to perform the necessary function. The item is attractive and functions well so far. We are disappointed that the numbers are about the same color as the face. If they were a different color (like the hands) it would be easier to see the time. The scale on the thermometer is compact, and the numbers are the same color as the face. So, it is difficult to tell the difference between 30 and 40 degrees (for example). HAD WE KNOWN THESE THINGS FROM THE PRESENTATION ON THE WEB, WE WOULD HAVE SEARCHED FOR A BETTER CLOCK-THERMOMETER.
