Okay! SO- first time chicken owner here. We live in Maryland and are raising chicks and ducks from babies. We live in the woods and therefore have a ton of natural predators. The coop on its own is not SUPER sturdy, but not the worst quality I have seen and works well for a yard that slopes. There are some gaps, so we enclosed the top and bottom with hardware mesh stapled into the wood and secured with cement blocks just to be sure everything would be safe, and so far so good! The cover seems like it will be reasonable for the raincolder temps. Used Wayfair assembly service, which was good but it did take 3 men four hours to assemble just FYI. Overall, happy!. Anonymous. Yay, one step closer to getting our chickens!! We live in the country, so we wanted to make sure our girls would be safe while also making sure they have dedicated shade in our hot summers, and this is perfect. While this was pretty straightforward to put together, just know, you will become one with the zip ties. If you think, "there is no way we'll use that many zip ties", trust me, you will. A tip, once you get the frame up and you're ready to start putting up the wire, have a second person, but don't work on different parts, connect one part of the wire, then work your way to the other side before the other person starts on anything. You'll want someone on the outside of the run and someone inside to do adjustments (stretching and holding the wire, etc). If you try to do both sides at once, you'll have to redo parts...hopefully this helps save you a potential headache. Once it's up, it's great, the shade cloth really makes a big difference in heat!. This cage was 'as expected', seems pretty sturdy and was pretty straight forward and easy to put together. Took a little time, I did it by myself, but all the screws and brackets seem solid. using it for a rooster that we need to keep away from the other roosters, so it fulfills our need--with one major flaw. Now, I knew this going in and we remedied it on our own with zip ties and chicken wire, but be aware that the only roof is the vinyl/tent top and that tent top will not keep out a raccoon or other eager predator in any way. We have a tiny 2 x2 coop inside this run that we can lock at night, but do add some kind of chicken wire under the canopy if you plan to rely on it for safety, which can easily be done before you put the canopy on. I wish it came with a secure roof, but from what I am seeing, none of these come with a solid roof, so this will have to do, and it seems to be working out for us.. Daniel. Bloomington, IN. The packages arrived quickly and in good condition. The components are heavyweight and seem to be of good quality. I have given it four stars based on the quality of the components. I am currently dealing with some issues with my back and I am unable to assemble it at this time I will update this review once I have gotten it put together 52026 UPDATE I finally hired a contractor to put the coop together and at first it seemed a bit flimsy just at the joints but once the wire was completely attached and the shades put on it is nice and sturdy. Chicken cage pens crate have 4 door openings. There is also enough space for children to come in and interact with their pets. There is a ground stake on each side of the six corners and a beam in the middle to ensure its stability. UV Protection Cover is silver-white polyester coat providing your pet with sun,rain,wind protection and safe crossing even but don't keep a lot of the rain out.

Overall, this chicken coop is a bit of a mixed bag. Assembly wasn’t overly difficult, but the instructions could definitely be clearer. I ended up having to backtrack and redo a few steps because some of the diagrams were confusing. This is absolutely a two-person job, and it helps if at least one of you isn’t afraid of heights because there are several overhead pieces to install. One thing I do like is that the wire mesh has a plastic coating, which should help prevent rust and extend the life of the enclosure. Unfortunately, the wire itself is much thinner than I expected. I don’t feel confident that it would keep determined predators out, so I would recommend reinforcing it with heavier-gauge hardware cloth if you’re planning to house chickens or other vulnerable animals. Overall, the frame goes together fairly easily once you figure out the instructions, but the quality of the wire keeps this from being a great value in my opinion.
