I made quite a few modifications to make this coop more useful. I used strong magnets across the top so we could reach into the run. We added stair tread to the roost ramp so our ladies didn’t slip around anymore. I’d planned to use a solar door opener to let the gals in and out, but I was one day over the 30 day return window and Wayfair wouldn’t let me return it even for store credit. It didn’t fit despite the online specifications saying it would.. Ashley. US. Tue Aug 11 2026

Okay! SO- first time chicken owner here. We live in Maryland and are raising chicks and ducks from babies. We live in the woods and therefore have a ton of natural predators. The coop on its own is not SUPER sturdy, but not the worst quality I have seen and works well for a yard that slopes. There are some gaps, so we enclosed the top and bottom with hardware mesh stapled into the wood and secured with cement blocks just to be sure everything would be safe, and so far so good! The cover seems like it will be reasonable for the raincolder temps. Used Wayfair assembly service, which was good but it did take 3 men four hours to assemble just FYI. Overall, happy!. Anonymous. Love this small coop for my five 7-week old chicks. It was easy to assemble with great instructions. Great value for the price. Chicks love being outside after living in a tank in my garage. I sat it on treated 2x4’s in the yard to add more support by screwing the bottom of the run to the 2x4.. Audrey. US. Wed Apr 29 2026

Was easy enough to put together, alone. It's exactly as pictured. I bought it to give my 5 hens somewhere to stay warm this winter. I did not however stop to think about how large my hens are and they will only get bigger. I should have read specs closer and bought bigger. My hens are one of the biggest breeds. Hopefully they will use it this winter. I covered the run to keep too much sun and rain off them. It's also connected to 2 other large runs. Vickie. Silver Springs, NV. Mon Oct 05 2026

Pretty solid, might need two people for some of the set up. We have 4 chicks right now in it. Added our own locks that were more sturdy.. Michelle. Chicago, IL. Sat Jul 25 2026

It is constructed from high-quality solid fir wood. All timber is T&G plained to avoid splintering. All joints are mortise and tenon.

Upgraded Chicken Haven! 4-wheel design for effortless moving + fresh grazing. Spacious 6-section nesting boxes w/ easy-open roof. Quick-clean access points & removable tray. Solid wood + predator-proof locks. Roomy 19 ft² fits 4 chickens; expand with optional run (68”Lx41”W). Happy hens, stress-free care!

Great coop for the price! Bought this as a starter coop and it surpassed my expectations. Easy to assemble - as other reviewers stated, the wood is thin and prone to splitting. Slow and steady when tightening the screws is key. The removable tray for cleaning is a plus. Wheels are great for moving it around. I painted it to match the house!. Kimberly. Traverse City, MI. Wed Apr 22 2026

Upgrade your backyard with this mobile 4-hen coop. Featuring 1.38" thick wood, wide metal wheels, and an easy-clean PVC liner, it offers a secure, durable, and fresh-air habitat for your flock.

Went together very easily. Also easy to move around. I am using it for my chicks until they are big enough to go with my hens. Currently have 6 8-week old chicks in there and it’s a bit crowded. Be mindful if getting for large hens. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the sliding door above where the ramp is (outside of the enclosed run) has no hardware cloth on it at all, and no lock to make sure it stays shut.. Anonymous. It appears blue-green under strong sunlight outdoors, and dark green indoors or in low-light conditions on cloudy days.

We're planning to raise four hens, and I love how elevated the coop is and that the windows can be fully opened. Assembly itself wasn't difficult, the most time-consuming part was gathering all the parts before getting started. Overall, the structure is sturdy. I have it out in the yard to air out, and once our hens arrive, we'll place it against the wall and they'll be ready to move right in.. Newbiehenkeeper. New Jersey. Tue Sep 29 2026

Chicken Coop Large Hen House for 4-6 Chickens Wooden Poultry Cage with Run, Ramp, Nesting Box, Wire Fence, Waterproof Asphalt Roof (80" x 35" x 54")

Package didn’t come with any instructions at all. Had to contact Wayfair for the issue as we couldn’t find even close to similar manuals anywhere online for this particular coop, which was a pain and caused us major delay. Also, the coop is much smaller than expected, the pictures are extremely misleading and inaccurate. Super disappointing!. Nicole. Dublin, CA. Sun Sep 13 2026

Smart nesting box & ergonomic perch keep chickens happy. Roomy 37.6"L design fits 4-6 adults. Perfect for chickens, ducks, rabbits—backyard bliss made simple!

I bought this Coop to turn it into a feral cat house with a lot of modifications. I am happy with the results. I insulated it with 1 in foam insulation board, made two levels two escape doors in an entrance. I screened all the windows and added all the plastic to the front so that I can roll it down when the weather gets cold and tack it to the frame to help keep them warm I put linoleum on the floor and added two heated dog pads. I painted the whole thing as there was no way this would be waterproof without it. I added tinted plastic corrugated roofing to cover the existing roof to protect it and also to make that more waterproof. If making modifications be careful cutting the boards because they are only attached at the edges of the frame. It took me a month to complete this but I am very happy with it. Two of my ferals have already been in and out of it several times. It is now ready for a cold winter.. Anonymous. Indiana, PA. Thu Oct 22 2026

Its an ok coop, put together with little difficulty. The ramp hinges broke soon after, the chickens knock over their roosting bars. Other than that it seems to be working out alright. I like the windows for ventilation, the nesting boxes.. Theresa. Fayetteville, NY. Tue Oct 20 2026

This chicken house with a ramp & a large living house & 6 nesting boxes. It is constructed of high-quality solid Fir wood. All timber is T&G plained to avoid splintering. All joints are mortise and tenon, 2 x access doors for easily catching your pets. Come, model comes with a rear zinc pull-out tray for easy cleaning.

Great coop! Large and roomy! Easy to put together. The only two complaints are the latches for the doors are not the greatest. We ended up replacing them. We bought this for 8 Duccles. And the nesting boxes are small if you put the dividers in. It gives you 3 nesting boxes on both sides. But you can easily take out the dividers and just have one large nesting box on each side. I think a regular size chicken would find it difficult to nest with the dividers in. The wood seems to be good quality. I like the top screens for ventilation. It has two doors but we will only use the ramp door. I love it overall.. Tamara. College Station, TX. Wed Oct 21 2026
