This is my second purchase for this specific medallion- it is small but works in compact spaces like closets and entryways. I really like it because I use faux styrofoam ceiling tiles to cover ugly ceilings after scraping popcorn texture (and to avoid drywall repair and re-texturing). We just built a new home. I wanted a little something to add a decorative punch on the ceiling. This is gorgeous. Exactly what I was picturing. Great quality and it paints perfectly. I base painted a solid grey and let dry a day. The next day, working in sections, I painted solid white covering the grey paint and then immediately wiped the white paint off and it leaves the white in the crevices giving it that shabby chic look.. I bought this to compliment a chandelier that I also recently purchased from Wayfair see attached pictures and I love it. It was inexpensive, well made and very attractive. Best of all it is fairly light (less than 10 lbs.) As I have a cable installed in my attic which enables me to raise and lower the light for cleaning, I was able to make a quick jig using some scrap wood, apply construction adhesive to the back and pull the medallion up onto the ceiling rather than having to screw it to the ceiling using the hardware that was provided.
